Entreprenaissance

creative thinking

In May I was lucky enough to travel to Sydney and learn about what makes successful Entrepreneurs tick, based on an amazing ‘model of excellence’ study.  I also discovered just how big the growth of Entrepreneurship is globally, right now.

Some of the most inspirational thinking about Entrepreneurship that I have come across is from Creel Price, a successful Entrepreneur who now supports others to succeed. He describes the ‘Entreprenaissance’ as being an expression of a creative spirit and mindset that is capable of making a positive difference to how we respond as a society to the changes of the digital age.  Changes like the those that artificial intelligence is predicted to make.

He talks about six frames of thinking:

Change – Renaissance not revolution: The need to revive past learning and culture to create a 21stcentury renaissance in order to change civilization for the better without the requirement of revolutionary force or alienating doctrine

Fulfilment – Passion not possession: The need to revive the pursuit of activities we are passionate about that makes us fulfilled, over and above our obsession for attaining more and more possessions.

Freedom –  Vocation not vacation: The need to revive having the freedom to pursue a vocation that we love doing: when we want, with whom we want rather than living for the occasional vacation or retirement

Meaning – Purpose not pointless. The need to revive the attainment of meaning in our lives to satisfy our human spirits requirements for a significant motivating purpose, instead of living for the pointlessness of mere survival.

Community – Cooperation not competition: the need to revive the leverage and pleasure from working in cooperation as a united community, as opposed to competing as self seeking individuals.

Legacy –  Extraordinary not Ordinary: The need to revive aspiring to create a legacy, something so extraordinary that it defies all acceptable knowledge, yet doesn’t steal from future generations.

How good is that?  Are you interested in following Creel Price?  You can find his blog here.

Are you interested in learning more about what the research said makes successful Entrepreneurs tick and, even finding out if you have those same attributes?  You can find out more about that here.
